Dr. Anjuman Ara Khatun

Dr. Anjuman Ara Khatun is currently working as an Mphasis Postdoctoral Fellow at the Centre for Data Sciences, International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Bangalore, Karnataka, India.

Prior to this, she achieved a postdoctoral position in the Department of Physics at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, Maharashtra. She obtained her Bachelor of Science (B.Sc. Honours) degree in Physics from Aliah University, Kolkata, West Bengal. She subsequently earned both her Master of Science (M.Sc.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees in Physics from Aligarh Muslim University, Uttar Pradesh.

Her research interests cover nonlinear dynamics, complex systems, network science, computational physics, data science, active matter physics, machine learning, and their interdisciplinary applications. She is particularly interested in developing mathematical models, computational frameworks, and data-driven methodologies to address challenging problems in engineering, environmental systems, and the natural sciences.

Currently, she focuses on addressing climate data challenges through time-series forecasting and the statistical analysis of dynamical systems using machine learning and data-driven approaches. These works aim to integrate modern computational techniques with nonlinear dynamics to improve predictive capabilities and enhance the understanding of complex environmental systems.
